New Atomic helmets for the 22/23 season

The Austrian brand unveils the new FW 22/23 helmets for ski mountaineering at all levels.

Atomic is launching the new Backland helmets for the 2022/2023 season which are ideal for ski touring and also certified for other winter sports such as climbing and cycling. With features such as light weight and excellent ventilation, the Atomic Backland is the perfect compromise for all skiers, from all round to freeride: thanks to the Austrian brand’s extensive research the helmets feature some of the best innovations around, such as Holocore construction, AMID (Atomic Multi-Directional Impact Deflector) and Shocksense (CTD) technology which measures impacts around the helmet, monitors conditions and transmits SOS alerts in the event of an emergency. In addition, the Fit System adjustment allows for a custom fit, thus maximizing comfort.

This is the ideal helmet for all riders who rely on the weight of every piece of equipment during performance. Every detail is designed for safety and comfort: the shell underneath provides 40% more protection than any other helmet, while still keeping the product lightweight. A headlamp can be added and attached thanks to the removable strap.

Atomic Backland CTD
Designed for all-out ski mountaineering, this helmet is unique precisely because of its durable, lightweight and extremely secure hybrid EPP in-mold construction and the PC microshells which reinforce the structure. Equipped with Shocksense and AMID technology that monitors the wearer’s condition after an impact and again ensures 40% safety.
