Polartec announces the launch of the Family Album

Polartec, a Milliken & Company brand and leading manufacturer of innovative and sustainable textile solutions, announces the launch of its Family Album, the result of a crowdsourced image story contributed by those who have worn Polartec apparel on their outdoor adventures over the past three decades. Launched today on a new Polartec Instagram page, @PolartecFamily, the album will serve the outdoor community to come together, celebrate adventures and continue to grow in the years to come.

The album is part of the Peaking Since ’91 campaign, an anniversary that celebrates the founding of the Polartec brand in 1991 and the many milestones in an extensive history of textile innovation, including the invention of PolarFleece fleece in 1981. The Family Album celebrates the millions of outdoor enthusiasts who have benefited from this seminal invention over the years.

Since the contest was first announced in February 2021, participants have been flipping through their albums and submitting personal photos for a chance to be featured in the Family Album and win limited edition Polartec products created by several select designers.

The launch of Polartec’s Family Album aims to bring the outdoor community together, creating a place where like-minded people can celebrate past adventures, iconic products, amazing athletes and those who have in some way inspired positive change in the world.
