Rab and Lowa Alpine donate for EOCA’s Green Friday
Both brands have made a choice to respect the environment, donating to the Green Friday fundraising of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA).
After the success of the Earth Day fundraising event in April, EOCA has launched a second online fundraiser during the Black Friday period. In this case, they are committed to raising funds for nature conservation projects, given the growing urgency of reversing climate change. For this initiative, Rab and Lowe Alpine have decided to donate 25% of the proceeds from the sales of their new European service and repair center during the period between November 29 and December 31 2021. In the aforementioned center, repair and wash services are offered to retailers and consumers, keeping equipment in working order and reducing unnecessary waste – a process that both brands are committed to reducing even in the manufacturing phase, in addition to decreasing carbon emissions and the goal of achieving Net Zero by 2030. In addition to donating financially, Lowe Alpine will further support the EOCA fundraiser with a donation of backpacks and outdoor gear to Outdoor Gear For Good, a nonprofit that collects returned or repairable items for sale, preventing them from going to landfill. Again, proceeds from the sale will go to EOCA.
