SCARPA has renewed its partnership with Nirmal Purja, the first man in history to climb K2 in the winter months. Purja continues in his role as a global brand ambassador, promoting values such as love of the mountains, respect for the environment, teamwork and the courage to face daunting challenges. The partnership is further strengthened by SCARPA’s support for the Nimsdai Foundation, established by Purja to support Nepalese communities.

SCARPA President Sandro Parisotto expresses enthusiasm for the continued partnership with Purja, whose resilience and ambition reflect the company’s ideals. Purja, with his commitment to sustainability and ability to inspire globally, is considered the ideal ambassador for SCARPA.

“In the mountains you can only rely on two things, your team and your equipment: for this reason, I am proud to consolidate the partnership and friendship with SCARPA” – comments Nirmal Purja. “The support received from the company toward me and my team has been extraordinary. It took two years of development to build the best mountaineering boots in the world – SCARPA listened, and they have created the ultimate boot for the Great Mountains. Together we will continue to push the boundaries of innovation and reach the highest peaks.”

Purja will further test SCARPA’s Phantom 8000 Thermic HD model, an advanced high altitude boot made entirely in Italy, which accompanied him on the summit of K2. A former British special forces soldier, Purja climbed the world’s 14 highest mountains in just 6 months and 6 days with his “Project Possible,” redefining the limits of modern mountaineering. His feat is documented in the Netflix film “14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible,” highlighting his extraordinary skills of determination and sacrifice.
