Test: Lange XT3 Tour Sport

Test: Lange XT3 Tour Sport

Intro: A shoe that keeps the focus on the descent, it must be said, but that broadens horizons by proving to be up to more important differences in height.

The freeride Lange XT3 model is a great success, especially for those who prefer skiing on powder with some short transfer on skins, there are in fact seven models in the company’s catalog. For 21/22 the parent company has set a more ambitious goal: an even lighter 4-buckles. An excellent shoe for free touring which, while maintaining high downhill performance, allows for greater uphill gradients. In short, a shoe that wraps the foot well and, at the same time, offers excellent mobility during the skinning phase, designed for those who love to dangle their tongue not only to eat dust between carvings, but also to grind elevation gain at 170 bpm. The 4-buckles closure, as mentioned above, wraps the forefoot ensuring control and precision when cornering. Those who do not disdain turning on the track will notice the similarity in the passage of the forces which, in being immediately transmitted to the ski, guarantee carving on any terrain.

We Like: The company’s impulse to always improve, with that entrepreneurial courage that leads to betting on a product that was missing from the line, the creation of a model entirely in a free touring key while maintaining Lange’s strong point: the skiability of the shoe.
