The world of the outdoors and adventure in a film festival that will visit over 20 Italian cities.

The tenth edition of the BANFF Mountain Film Festival, one of the most prestigious international adventure film competitions, will start on 25 January. 26 cities will be involved in the selection of the best short and medium-length films dedicated to mountains and exploration.

First held in 1976 in Banff, Canada, the festival has become a global event, visiting over 500 cities and 40 countries in the course of a year. It is now an unmissable event for all those who love the world of the outdoors and who love to be thrilled by spectacular images and exemplary stories: it is not just a simple competition, but a real fixed appointment for a community that after 10 years counts more than 3,000 enthusiasts.

“We are happy to celebrate the first 10 years in Italy of the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour – says Alessandra Raggio, CEO of ITACA The Outdoor Community – a passionate and emotional race that started in 2013 and that year after year continues to make the Italian audience dream. For each new edition we choose films that manage to create a connection between the spectator, the mountains and outdoor life, where the story takes on the perspective of a journey”.

The first city to be touched will be Milan on 25 January at The Space Cinema Odeon. For info on tickets visit the website.
