Patagonia publishes “The Future of The Responsible Company.”

After five decades of operating on its own terms, Patagonia publishes “The Future of the Responsible Company: What We’ve Learned from Patagonia’s First 50 Years.”
Written by the company’s director of philosophy, Vincent Stanley, and its founder, Yvon Chouinard, the book details Patagonia’s new ownership structure that has made headlines around the world.
Stanley is responsible for many of the campaigns and initiatives that have made the company one of America’s most well-known and trusted brands. In his book he offers readers a topical approach to corporate responsibility, addressing issues such as growing cultural divisions and the worsening climate crisis.

Since its founding in 1973, Patagonia has dedicated time, influence and resources to the conservation of the natural world. In 2018, the brand changed its purpose to “We are in business to save our planet.”
As natural and commercial landscapes shift and confront an increasingly chaotic climate, “The Future of the Responsible Company” offers business leaders a vision for minimizing environmental impacts and implementing policies that prioritize corporate health and longevity.
“The Future of the Responsible Company,” based on the original 2012 version “The Responsible Company,” is published by Patagonia and available online at Patagonia.com.
