UTMB World Series in China and Mauritius

The UTMB® World Series announces the addition of two new events starting in 2024. The circuit will expand to include 38 locations spread across Europe, America, Asia, Oceania and Africa, with more surprises to come. Mark on your calendar the dates of June 22 and 23, 2024, when the newly formed Mauritius by UTMB will become the second UTMB World Series event in Africa. In addition, starting in September 2024, trail running enthusiasts will be able to participate in the exciting Mount Yun by UTMB Ultra-Trail in China’s renowned Shanxi Province.

Mauritius by UTMB

It will be the second swllw UTMB World Series event in Africa in 2024 along with the Mountain Ultra-Trail by UTMB in South Africa. June 22 and 23 are the set days, ideal given the island’s cool and sunny weather. Registration will be open from October 3 for UTMB Index holders, and general registration on October 5 on the website.

Race distances include:

– Black Piton River 100m: 135 km / 6100 m+

– Charamel 100k: 97km / 4400 m+

– Bel Ombre 50k: 55 km / 2000 m+

Le Morne 20k: 22km / 890m+

Yun by UTMB

Discovering the trails of Mount Yun in the northern Chinese province of Shanxi. It is China’s second UTMB competition, along with the Ninghay competition to be held on the East Coast in April. The race is scheduled for September 2024, and runners will have a unique opportunity to explore the natural treasures and historical and cultural legacies of this magical area.
