Zag Ubac 102 tested by The Pill

Versatile ski for all those experienced riders who want to “gas it” on the descent but also want to enjoy the views along the ascent with as little effort as possible.

The Ubac 102 is a ski that stands out for its minimal weight while climbing, despite having a width of 102 mm. This combination of lightness and width is the result of a clever design that puts it at an advantageous position compared to the competition. Tested in a variety of conditions, between off-piste powder and soft snow on the slope, the Ubac 102 seemed to us to be a multi-purpose ski, dedicated to those who love freeriding but are also looking for fun on the slope or in different terrain. Thanks to the paulownia core, the ski is lightweight and durable, and unlike a foam core, the wood core is significantly more environmentally friendly and also offers greater longevity of the material. Fiberglass fibers bring strength and durability, while carbon adds torsional stiffness, improving the precision and responsiveness of the ski during the descent. These features, along with high-strength ABS and steel sidewalls, offer the rider the opportunity to enjoy a lightweight, responsive and durable ski that conveys confidence and a willingness to push beyond one’s limits.
