Asics organises a Trail Race to launch the new products

Asics flies to the Canary Islands to present the latest Trail Running products.

After a year of digital events, Asics is back, organizing its first live event after the pandemic in La Palma (Canary Islands): customers, journalists, ambassadors and athletes were invited by the Japanese brand to to experience the uplifting power of trail running and then following the presentation of the new shoes and test them.

It was a race, the Transvulcanica Route, to be the springboard for the presentation of the new models of shoes and clothing collection trail running Fuji Lite 2, Trabuco Max and Gel-Trabuco. In particular, the shoes were tested during the Vertical Challenge, a race run on both road and steep trails, during which two teams competed: the Road Runners and the Trail Runners.

“We’ve been dreaming of organizing an event like this for a long time, especially in the wake of the pandemic. – tells us Linda Van Aken, vicepresident of Asics Running EU – It was great to show our passion for trail running and to see how uplifting this activity was for all participants. La Palma welcomed us with open arms; now our thoughts are with all the people affected by the volcanic eruption.”

On September 17, Asics still organized the Asics REC Relay Transvulcania, a seven-stage, team-based race that saw Team Elbrus cross the finish line first in just under eight hours.
