Rock Experience’s Silex jacket wins WIMA 2024
The Silex jacket, an ultra-technical garment from the Rock Experience collection, is the result of a close collaboration between the Lecco-based company and the mountaineering group Ragni di Lecco. Multi-handed work between Rock Experience designers and Lecco mountaineers that was particularly appreciated by the jury of the Legazuoi Winning Ideas Mountain Award 2024, which awarded the prize to the Silex jacket.
The Lagazuoi Winning Ideas Mountain Awards, promoted by the Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomites, aim to highlight innovative projects in equipment, clothing, services, apps and food and wine productions related to the mountain world. This year, the award in the Mountain Equipment and Clothing category went to Rock Experience for their Silex jacket, part of the Ground Up premium collection.
The Silex jacket, selected as one of the three finalist products in December, was then submitted to public voting in February via the award’s website and social media. All finalist projects will be displayed at the Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomites in an exhibition opening on March 23, 2024, accessible free of charge until March 2025 during the opening of the Lagazuoi cable car.
